Vote today for infielder/pitcher in contention for national player of year award

Penn State Abington's Ryan McCarty was named a semifinalist in the national competition for the top amateur baseball player of the year. He is the only non-NCAA Division I player and only Penn State player to be considered, and he could become the first winner from a non-Division I program since Bryce Harper of the Philadelphia Phillies won the award in 2010.

University honors Abington student with emerging leader award

Penn State Abington student Linda Zhang is the recipient of Penn State’s 2022 Mary Lee Hobbs Steel Emerging Leader award, which recognizes outstanding achievement by a sophomore or junior who has demonstrated leadership within the campus, the community and the classroom, and who has exhibited creativity, initiative and continued involvement in the University and surrounding communities.

Penn State Abington baseball player Ryan McCarty led the NCAA Division III this season in hits (100), batting average (.529), home runs (29), doubles (27), RBIs (91) and runs (89), and he set a new Division III single-season record for total bases (220) through 40 regular-season games and four more in the United East Conference Tournament.
