The North Eastern Athletic Conference named Penn State Abington students James Howell and Alexander Kane athletes of the week.

Howell, who coincidentally hails from the Massachusetts town of Abington, earned men's tennis player of the week honors for his strong performances to open the fall season. The senior information sciences and technology major dominated the court in singles play against Delaware Valley College and again with doubles partner Monte Dunson.

This is the third consecutive week Kane topped the NEAC voting for men's cross-country runner of the week honors. The junior business major trampled the competition at the Gallaudet University Invitational.
