PAGLN is a premier leadership and career development program within The Abington Experience—your roadmap from campus to career. As a member, you will gain hands-on experience, build professional skills, and make a meaningful impact on the student community while preparing for your future.
This unique initiative, a collaboration between Academic and Student Affairs, is designed to support student success, foster global learning, and cultivate an inclusive, connected campus environment rooted in access, diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice.
Your Leadership Roles
Selected student leaders are trained to serve in four integrated roles:
- International Student Welcome Leader (ISW)
- Peer Mentor (ENGL 83 & ENGL 15)
- Global Ambassador
- Success Coach
Rather than choosing just one path, you’ll develop a versatile leadership portfolio by engaging in all four roles—working collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff across campus.
What You’ll Gain

Training begins in the spring semester and continues through the summer (July), setting you up for success before the academic year begins.

As a PAGLN leader, you will:
- Support new students as they transition to college
- Welcome and guide international students and their families
- Promote global opportunities and campus engagement
- Help peers build academic skills, confidence, and success strategies
You’ll also collaborate with campus partners like the Chaiken Center for Student Success, expanding your network and professional experience.
