Every Penn State Abington student deserves the chance to explore beyond the classroom, so we offer courses that feature short-term travel during semester breaks, making life-changing domestic and international experiences more affordable and accessible.
Courses with short-term travel give you the chance to immerse yourself in new cultures, connect with communities, and see the world—and yourself—in a whole new way.
- Courses feature a credit-bearing travel component.
- Taught by Abington faculty who travel with students
- Travel is typically between five and eight days during the fall, spring, or summer breaks.
- Scholarships and financial aid are available.

Scholarships
Penn State Abington offers scholarships tailored explicitly for students enrolling in embedded and full-semester programs.
- Penn State Abington scholarships:
- Funding is available for applicants in both types of programs. Tier 2: (short-term travel) $500-$1,000
- Business majors who meet certain requirements and plan to graduate from Penn State Abington are eligible to apply for the Margaret Germer/Ruth Taub Business Leadership Scholarship.
