Between 12 and 15 Schreyer Scholars are enrolled at Abington each year. They work with the Abington Honors coordinator and faculty and staff at both University Park and Abington to develop their academic plan and required thesis. Schreyer Scholars use the SRS (Student Record System) to document their honors credits and submit required forms for their thesis, Honors Option credits, and opportunities like funding for independent research and study abroad.

At Abington, Schreyer Scholars fulfill their honors credits through coursework, thesis writing credits, and research seminars during their third and fourth years.

  • Spring semester, third year: Enroll in a two-credit seminar focused on research methodologies to prepare students to submit their thesis proposal in April.
  • Spring semester, fourth year: Enroll in a one-credit seminar focused on completing and presenting their final thesis for submission in April.
