Career Fairs at Penn State Abington

SAVE THE DATE! Spring Internship and Career Fair 2026 at Penn State Abington

Wednesday, March 4, 2026
10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
In-Person event in the Penn State Abington Athletics Building

Employers: Visit our employer webpage to register for our Spring 2026 Career Fair.

Why should I attend a Career Fair?

  • Find an internship or a job after graduation
  • Explore career possibilities with employers
  • Make connections for future jobs and internships
  • Receive a FREE professional headshot
  • Be a part of this signature event

Who will be participating?

Regional and national employers participate. A detailed list of employers participating and their positions available can be found here in Nittany Lion Careers.

(*Every Penn State student can access Nittany Lion Careers with their Penn State login information.  If you have never logged into Nittany Lion Careers, you may be asked to set up a basic profile before continuing to Events.)

Check back frequently in the fall, as new companies will continue to register as the event date approaches.

Explore Nittany Lion Careers and organization websites to find job and internship postings for the organizations that will be in attendance.  Use this information to develop your target list.  Tell organizations how your skills, experience, and interests match what they look for.

Approach as many organizations as possible.  You never know what you will learn or who you will meet that will lead to an opportunity.

Do students or recent alums need to register?

Registration is not required to attend.  Any Penn State student or recent alum from any Penn State campus can participate.

We extend a special invitation to our fellow Penn State students at the Brandywine campus.  If you are a student at Brandywine, please reach out to your career center for resources and support to help you prepare and attend.

How should I prepare to attend the Internship & Career Fair?

Craft Your Resume

Get started with these tips from Penn State Career Services, or check out the Penn State Career Guide.

Have your resume reviewed at our Resumania event during career week (the week before the career fair), or upload it to Nittany Lion Careers to be reviewed (this may take a few days depending on demand, so please start early).

Practice Your 30 Second Introduction

Practice what you will say to make a great first impression. Try it out at our Slice & Advice walk-in event or check out these tips from The Balance.

Prep What to Wear

Dress as if you were going to an interview - Business Professional Attire Required. The key is to make a good first impression in clothing that helps you feel confident speaking with an employer.  For many, this will be a business suit. Follow these attire guidelines, and view the graphic below for examples:

  • Polished, clean, & wrinkle-free
  • Interview appropriate or dressier - when in doubt, choose something more professional than you think you need
  • Fits your identity and personal style
  • Shows you take care in your appearance

Employers say to avoid:  flip-flops, sneakers, slippers, pajama bottoms, hair bonnets, shorts, sweatpants, half-shirts, graphic tees, workout wear, hoodies, anything you would wear out to a club or to binge-watch Netflix.

Examples of Professional Attire. A “Business Professional Guide” for career fairs and interviews showing examples of proper attire. It highlights basics like blazers, dress shirts, slacks, skirts, and neutral colors, with finished looks for men and women. A section with red Xs marks inappropriate items such as polos, jeans, tank tops, and sneakers. A note reminds that business professional is not business casual and to avoid bare shoulders.

Examples of Professional Attire for Career Fairs and Interviews. A visual “Business Professional Guide” for career fairs and interviews. The image is divided into sections labeled Basics, Color, Finished Looks, and a What Not to Wear list. Basics show professional staples like button-down shirts, blouses, dress pants, skirts, blazers, ties, and dress shoes. Color suggests neutral tones (gray, black, navy, white) with limited accent colors like light blue or soft purple. Finished Looks shows examples: men in suits with ties and women in blazers or modest dresses paired with closed-toe heels or flats. What Not to Wear shows items with red X marks, including polo shirts, tank tops, jeans, sneakers, flip-flops, and clothing with bare shoulders. A note clarifies that “Business Professional is NOT business casual” and recommends wearing a blazer or jacket with a tie and avoiding bare shoulders. The Penn State logo appears at the bottom right.
