ABINGTON, Pa. — You keep tabs on your weight, blood pressure and cholesterol. Why not your emotional well-being?

Thursday, Oct. 11, is National Depression Screening Day, and Penn State Abington Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) will host an open house from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Cloverly Building.

All three CAPS staff will be available to meet and greet students, provide brief screenings, and tell students about the services they provide. There will be self-report screenings for depression, anxiety and stress, as well as resources and refreshments.

The CAPS team seeks to educate, raise awareness, reduce stigma and connect the Penn State Abington community with mental health screenings and resources.
