Concert at Penn State Abington celebrates Celtic music from around the world

Penn State Abington hosted a free community concert on Oct. 25 featuring the lavish vocal harmonies and rich instrumental textures of the Chivalrous Crickets, a genre-crossing five-piece band that boldly reimagined standards and original songs with traditional influences. The musicians explored the roots, branches and crossroads of Celtic, English and American folk music.

Penn State librarian Riehman-Murphy named SPARC visiting program officer

Christina Riehman-Murphy, the Sally W. Kalin Librarian for Learning Innovations and the open and affordable educational resources librarian at Penn State University Libraries, has been named visiting program officer for open educational leadership at the Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition (SPARC), a newly created role in which she will serve part time for the next year. Riehman-Murphy is based at Penn State Abington.
