The Penn State Abington diversity leadership retreat guides students on their journey to understanding and practicing diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Penn State Abington students, faculty and staff traveled to Malta, England, Ireland, South Dakota, and Delaware to study, perform service, and participate in an intense leadership retreat.
Staff in the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion led students through exercises and workshops to develop their skills and solidify bonds among the group.
Penn State Abington students traveled to five very different places during spring break 2017, but all count their experiences as life-changing. Three groups flew across the Atlantic for courses requiring short-term study abroad. Two other groups stayed in the country, deepening their commitment to service and leadership.
