If you completed your degree requirements in Fall 2025 and plan on participating in Spring commencement, you can purchase graduation regalia (cap, gown and tassel) and other items at the Fall Graduation Fair, December 4, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
A Spring Graduation Fair will be held for those students completing their degree requirements in Spring 2026 and planning on participating in the Spring commencement. The time and date will be announced later in the spring semester.
No regalia will be available at commencement.
Students who graduated in Summer 2025 or Fall 2025 are asked to fill out this interest form so campus staff can provide updates on the May 8, 2026, commencement plans.
Commencement ceremonies will be held on Friday, May 8, 2025.
Ceremony times will be released in February 2026.
Commencement will be held at the Keswick Theater, 291 N Keswick Ave, Glenside, PA 19038.
There are a variety of parking options available for the Keswick. The parking lot behind the venue has pay-to-park kiosks. There are also pay-to-park options in Keswick Village and free parking available in Glenside, near the theater. With an event of this size, arriving early will give you the best available options for parking.
What time to graduates arrive?
Graduates are asked to arrive at Keswick Theater one hour before the ceremony begins. Ceremony times will be released in February 2026.
Where do graduates line up for the ceremony?
Graduates will assemble in the rooms to the right of the main entrance. Abington staff will direct graduates inside Keswick Theater.
What time do the doors open for guests?
Doors will open to guests one hour before the commencement ceremony begins. Ceremony times will be released in February 2026.
Is there a student rehearsal before the ceremony?
No. Students are asked to report one hour before the ceremony begins dressed in their caps and gowns. Further instructions will be given to graduates upon arrival.
Will the ceremony be live-streamed?
Yes. The ceremony will be streamed on Penn State Abington's YouTube channel.
Are noisemakers, signs, or balloons permitted at the ceremony?
No. These items are not permitted as they will block the view of other guests and/or disrupt the ceremony. If you arrive with these items, you will be asked to return them to your car.
Will graduates receive diplomas at commencement?
Diplomas are not distributed during commencement ceremonies. After all degree requirements are met and reviewed by the academic college and the Registrar’s Office (approximately eight weeks following commencement), diplomas will be mailed to the diploma address (if applicable) or permanent address set in LionPATH.
How many guest tickets do graduates receive?
The number of tickets each graduate receives will be announced in February 2026. Tickets are required for entry. No exceptions will be made. In the event of multiple ceremonies, tickets will be color-coded for the ceremony and are not interchangeable. When picking up tickets at the Graduation Fair, please indicate if you or a guest require(s) ADA-accessible seating.
Do children need tickets?
Yes. Children age 2 and older require a ticket.
Students who graduated in the Summer and Fall 2025 semesters can fill out this interest form to declare their interest in participating in the May 2026 commencement.
All graduates must pick up their tickets at one of the two Graduation Fairs in the Lares Building in either Fall 2025 or Spring 2026. This is the ONLY opportunity to pick up tickets. No tickets will be distributed on the day of commencement.
Is ADA parking available?
There are ADA parking spaces and a parking lot across the street from the Keswick Theater. There are also drop-off areas in front of the theater's main doors and in the alley adjacent to the front doors.
Is there a specific accessible entryway, or are all entries accessible?
Each separate public area in the venue is accessible. Please ask for assistance from staff upon arrival.
Are there ADA accessible restrooms? If so, where are they?
The restrooms on the first floor have accessible stalls.
Will you have sign language interpreters?
Yes. American Sign Language interpreters will be situated in front of the stage for both ceremonies.
Are there viewing areas that comply with ADA requirements?
When picking up tickets at the Graduation Fair, please indicate if you or a guest require(s) ADA-accessible seating. Ushers will guide guests who need ADA-accessible seating to the designated area on the day of the ceremony.
