RHS and CAPS
The Rehabilitation and Human Services (RHS) program has partnered with Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) to develop a Peer Counseling Program at Penn State Abington.
The Peer Counseling Program provides Penn State Abington students with access to peer-based confidential support for navigating life transitions, decision-making processes, relationships, and other challenges of life as a student.
Peer Counselors are a diverse group of Abington upper-division students who are trained in basic helping skills and receive ongoing supervision by CAPS licensed mental health professionals.
Students from RHS and Psychological & Social Sciences programs serve as peer counselors. See more information about the program.
