A double-dose of holiday happenings at Penn State Abington

Kick off a merry weekend on Friday, Dec. 3, at Penn State Abington with the "Film and Theater Review: In Time for the Holidays," followed on Sunday by "Green Thumbs: Going Natural for the Holidays."

Beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 3, Moylan C. Mills, professor emeritus of integrative arts, will lead a lively discussion on the hottest films and shows playing from Broadway to Broad Street. The evening will include video excerpts plus lots of discussion and tips from "The Expert." The program will be held in 112 Woodland Building and admission is free.

On Sunday, Dec. 5, Diana Weiner, a horticultural consultant from Meadowbrook Farm, will demonstrate cost-effective and fun ways to deck your halls with nature's bounty this holiday season. Learn how to embellish your creations with natural items from your garden beginning at 2:30 p.m. in the Lares Banquet Room. Admission is free, but seating is limited.
