Stephen Taub, a 1973 Penn State alumnus, has been named Penn State's 2019 Philanthropist of the Year. Among his generous gifts to the University, Taub committed $17.3 million to support student scholarships and global engagement programs at Penn State Abington, the largest gift in campus history.

"Since I arrived at Penn State Abington, every single year I think I’ve peaked in a different category in my life whether academically or socially,” junior Sahiba Bansal said.
Penn State recently awarded three Strategic Plan Seed Grants totaling almost $750,000 to collaborative groups that include Penn State Abington faculty.
