Program Overview

The Women in Entrepreneurship (Non-Credit) Certificate Program offers an interactive and engaging learning experience tailored for women aspiring to turn their entrepreneurial dreams into reality. Whether they are at the initial stages of their entrepreneurial journey or looking to enhance their business acumen, this course will provide women entrepreneurs with the tools and confidence needed to go from idea to execution. 

Program Scope and Schedule

The Women in Entrepreneurship Certificate is a 18-hour program comprised of six modules offered live via Zoom. A digital badge will be awarded upon successful completion of the 18-hour program.

  • Module 1: Developing an Entrepreneurial Mindset (3 hours)
  • Module 2: Developing a Business Plan (3 hours)
  • Module 3: Marketing, Branding and Growth Strategies (3 hours)
  • Module 4: Networking, Community and Business Success (3 hours)
  • Module 5: Funding Your Business (3 hours)
  • Module 6: Pitching Your Business Idea (3 hours)

Instructor: Elaine Johnson

Elaine Johnson is an award-winning serial entrepreneur, educator, and speaker. She is best known for her role as the Founder and Executive Director of Latinas in Motion—a national organization created to encourage women of color to get active. Elaine inspires and empowers women across the world to exercise and adopt healthy habits. This self-proclaimed "Mogul Mami" is an all-around inspiration—as much for her contagious energy as her willingness to break stereotypes.

In 2017, Elaine created a tool to help women dream out loud: Plan, Pray & Prosper—The Planner. This is not an ordinary planner; this fully functional tool was designed to help dreamers execute a plan for whole life success. Elaine has sold hundreds of copies worldwide. In 2022, she established a partnership with SNIPES to teach a personal development course to over one hundred aspiring entrepreneurs.

Elaine holds a Master of Science in Higher Education from Drexel University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from Bloomsburg University.
