Welcome to Residence Life at Penn State Abington. Our mission is to provide an experience that is conducive to academic success and personal growth. The Lions Gate Student Apartment Community includes professional and student staff members who live and work within the building. These staff members work together not only to ensure continuity of care and access to resources 24 hours a day, seven days a week, but they also place a priority on the development of opportunities that foster civility, social, cultural, and personal development.

Double occupancy bedroom $4,956 per semester.
Single occupancy bedroom $5,636 per semester.

Campus Parking
Penn State Abington's parking policies and permitting is dependent upon a student's campus status.
- Sophomore, Junior, and Senior residents in Lions Gate are permitted to have a car on campus, and are able to park in, the Lions Gate Student Lot and in campus student parking lots G, H, J, K, L, and M. See campus map.
- First-Year residents in Lions Gate are unable to have a car on campus.
Transportation
The Office of Transportation at Penn State Abington oversees campus parking policies, issues, campus parking permits and promotes sustainable transportation choices.
Students residing in Lions Gate are provided with several transportation options to and from campus as well as means to travel inside and outside the Philadelphia area.
Campus Shuttle
Penn State Abington provides a daily shuttle service in fall and spring semesters to and from Lions Gate to the campus throughout the day.
Walkable and Bike-Friendly Campus
Residing in Lions Gate affords students the opportunity to get a few steps to and from campus. The 15-minute walk is easily manageable. If you prefer, it's an easy 10-minute bike ride.
Regional Public Transportation
Philadelphia's transportation system, SEPTA, offers several options for Penn State Abington students.
- Bus: Route 55 Bus Line, right in front of Lions Gate, you arrive in Philadelphia in approximately 30 minutes.
- Regional rail: Nobel Train Station, 3 blocks away, gets you into Philadelphia in approximately 20 minutes.

What’s nearby?
Abington is a thriving town with shops, restaurants, gyms, recreational spaces, and plenty of activities. Convenience stores such as Wawa, fast-food such as Chipotle, and full-service restaurants are easily accessible. Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods are within walking distance, and the Giant Supermarket is one mile away.
