Book Assemblage Art

Explore a new, inventive way of creating art! Book assemblage art, which involves using 2-D and 3-D art on pages of a book, allows you to create your very own, unique book! This course is designed to help inspire you with learning new and different art techniques you might not have experienced yet.

Let your hands and fingers do the talking! Learn about the various types of puppets used in plays, fairy tales, and theme parks from around the world. Explore the different genres of puppetry and make several to show off at home! We will work together to write skits, build puppet theaters, and put on a final performance for family and friends.

In this class, you will have the opportunity to explore a variety of media, including pen and ink, acrylic paints, and pastels. Put your creative problem solving skills and inventive use of tools and materials to work! Our thought-provoking projects can help you find inspiration for your artwork. This program focuses on: Fostering and managing artistic skills needed to create a portfolio, experimenting with a variety of art materials and techniques, participating in activities like self-portraits, landscapes, still-life, etc.
