Vet 101

Veterinary science is about the health and wellness of animals. Join us for a fun filled week of animal science. During this intermediate to the field of veterinary science, campers will participate in multiple activities that will teach them intermediary knowledge of animal health. Activities include bone structure, different kinds of animals and their breeds, and nutrition, what is good and bad for the animals. Campers will also learn about the careers that involve animals.

Camp Objectives

  • Learning and using Veterinary science language
  • Learning the different bone structure
  • Understanding the differences of breeds
  • Making our own pet treats
  • Identifying careers that involve animals

*Please note: While this camp includes opportunities for hands-on learning, no live animals will be present due to safety regulations.*

Meet Your Instructor:

Courtney Noradin

Courtney is an upcoming junior at Penn State Abington who is majoring in Early Childhood Education. This is her second year working at the summer camps. Courtney loves photography, animals and nature. She is a certified veterinary assistant and has spent over 5 years in the veterinary field. During her free time she enjoys traveling back home to Florida to see her family and friends.
