Students will participate in hands-on creative activities using a range of tools, technology, machines, and ideas. Students will gain maker skills in areas such as art, design, and engineering by creating solutions to unique challenges. Instructors will guide the students to understand various Maker tools like 3D printers and vinyl cutters, and students will use these tools to design projects. Demonstrations of advanced tools like laser cutters and the CNC router round out the experience.

Meet the Instructor
Mark Grande
Mr. Mark Grande is an instructor with over 42 years of Industry Experience as an Engineer, developer, and manager of communication systems programs. His experience includes all aspects of system design, including Systems, Software, Electrical, Mechanical, Specialty Engineering and Manufacturing. He participated in multiple STEM and Diversity in Engineering Initiatives, working with local schools in Camden, NJ. In this capacity he mentored and tutored students from middle school and high school, helping each student achieve their individual educational goals. As part of the Penn State team, he continues to build a student-oriented learning experience in a creative and fun environment.
