Introduction to Psychology

Those with an interest in psychological science will be introduced to the science of the mind and behavior. The program includes numerous experiential activities that complement the curriculum of a typical high school psychology course.

Camp Objectives:

  • To introduce students to the themes of psychology that might be found in a high school or college introductory course
  • To teach students how the scientific method is used in behavioral science
  • To expose students to various psychological phenomena while providing the theoretical rationale for each
  • Topics covered include: memory, cognition, sensation & perception, consciousness, personality, learning, the nervous system, and more

*Please note: All data collected in this program will be for classroom use only and not for research purposes. All assessments will be optional and alternative opportunities will be provided.
