Coding and gaming collide in this practical, exciting course where students will be immersed in the software project lifecycle designing and developing an adventure game. Using practical examples in both Python and Java, students will be introduced to the concepts of Object Oriented Programming, automation, as well as develop problem solving skills that will enabling them to break down large challenges into smaller, more manageable elements that will stay with them outside of the classroom

Meet the Instructor
Mark Grande
Mr. Mark Grande is an instructor with over 42 years of Industry Experience as an Engineer, developer, and manager of communication systems programs. His experience includes all aspects of system design, including Systems, Software, Electrical, Mechanical, Specialty Engineering and Manufacturing. He participated in multiple STEM and Diversity in Engineering Initiatives, working with local schools in Camden, NJ. In this capacity he mentored and tutored students from middle school and high school, helping each student achieve their individual educational goals. As part of the Penn State team, he continues to build a student-oriented learning experience in a creative and fun environment.
