Coding and gaming collide in this practical, exciting course where students will be immersed in the software project lifecycle designing and developing an adventure game. Using practical examples in both Python and Java, students will be introduced to the concepts of Object Oriented Programming, automation, as well as develop problem solving skills that will enabling them to break down large challenges into smaller, more manageable elements that will stay with them outside of the classroom

Meet the Instructor
James Hurley is a proud Penn State graduate. He has experience as a developer for a 2D animation studio and as an application developer for 4Tekies. James has developed after school programs that use Minecraft (TM) Java Edition and M5 Stack micro-controllers. He is also the proud recipient of the 2022 Penn State Abington Everyday Achievement Award.
