The Engineering Ahead program is a five-week summer academic enhancement program. The program is designed to help incoming Engineering students succeed in their math and science courses in their first semester of college.
Program Benefits

- Attend professional development and college skills workshops
- Get to know the campus and professors
- Conversations with professional engineers
- $500 stipend upon successful completion of the program
Eligibility
You may apply to an Engineering Ahead program even if you have not officially accepted your offer from Penn State. However, final acceptance into an Engineering Ahead program is contingent on acceptance of your Penn State offer.
Program Dates 2027
- Welcome and orientation session Monday, June 28, 2027
- Weeks 1-4 (online, 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.) Monday, June 28 to Friday, July 23
- Week 5 (in person, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.) Monday, July 26 to Friday, July 30
