Penn State Abington is offering a free business seminar tailored to area employers. "Leading in Turbulent Times" -- a seminar that delivers contemporary, pertinent and thought-provoking ideas on leadership -- will take place from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. on March 10, in the Lares Building on the Penn State Abington campus.
Eric Bergstrom, instructor and assistant director of Penn State's Management Development programs and services, will address current business trends, the implications for leaders and how to change as conditions change. In addition to exploring business trends and developing action plans, the program also will explore:
- The Right People: Developing great leaders
- The Right Culture: Empowerment and collaboration
- The Right Processes: Hard on problems, soft on people
- The Right Results: A metrics-driven approach
According to Jane Owens, director of continuing education, "Leading in Turbulent Times" is intended for employers and managers of local business and industry.
"Penn State Abington is providing this session in March for local employers to discuss the critical topic of leadership in the coming years," said Owens.
"Leading in Turbulent Times" is co-sponsored by the continuing education department of Penn State Abington, Pennsylvania CareerLink of Montgomery County, the Workforce Investment Board and the Eastern Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce.
