Biography
As the Assistant Director of Residence Life, Jose supports and supervises the Residence Life Coordinator in the daily operations of the Lions Gate Residence Hall and assists with the direction and oversight of the Residence Life program with the Director of Residence Life and Community Standards.
Jose was a previous Residence Life Coordinator at the Penn State University Park campus and has had the ability to work in multiple housing areas and with diverse student populations. Jose is an immigrant from Mexico, was a first-generation student, and is passionate in supporting students through their personal and collegiate journeys. Jose earned his B.S. degree in Human Services from the University of Delaware and completed his M.S.Ed. in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Indiana University – Bloomington.
