BOND Events

Community Celebration

BOND's Community Celebration is an Abington tradition that celebrates all of the graduating students from the academic year during the Spring semester. Graduates are encouraged to invite those who have supported their time at Abington to join in celebrating their accomplishments and honoring the people who have been most meaningful to their success. All communities are welcome and celebrated, including first-generation, LGBTQ+, international students, and all cultures and backgrounds.

Social Justice Retreat

Each academic year, the BOND Office takes a group of students on a weekend Social Justice Retreat, away from campus, to provide students with immersive learning. The purpose of the weekend retreat is to provide our students with reflective, community-centered experiences that deepen their understanding of social justice, equity, identity, and advocacy. Through dialogue, interactive workshops, storytelling, and collaborative learning, participants strengthen their capacity to engage across differences, challenge inequitable systems, and become informed leaders who advance inclusion and belonging within their campuses and communities. This retreat creates a brave and supportive environment where students can explore complex social issues, develop leadership skills, build meaningful relationships, and leave empowered to create positive social change.

BOND hosts assorted cultural programming initiatives including workshops, panels, guest speakers, off-campus trips, student club partnerships, and much more. We strive to offer our students the opportunity to showcase their backgrounds and stories with their peers and campus communities, because we are stronger together, and become better allies when we know more about each other.
