Penn State Abington Chancellor Damian J. Fernandez and Karen Wiley Sandler, chancellor emerita, place a time capsule behind the cornerstone at The Lions Gate residence hall, scheduled to open in August. The metal box is filled with memorabilia and letters from Fernandez, Sandler, the Student Government Association president, and the current and former directors of Student Affairs. The time capsule will be opened in 2067. The Lions Gate is Abington's first residence hall.
