The first cohort of Vocational English as Second Language students completed a 100-hour program through the Penn State Abington Office of Continuing Education. Sixteen students participated. The project’s mission is to provide comprehensive vocational training to the low-income multilingual workforce in southeastern Pennsylvania and to prepare them to enter the health industry as home health aides or certified nursing assistants.
