A member of the Penn State men's handball team scores a goal. Members of the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences are credited with creating the men's and women's teams and improving them to championship-caliber squads.
The Penn State women's handball team won the national championship in its first season. Two of the team's coaches are from the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences.
Steve Flanagan, Sherveen Karbasiafshar, James Frazier and Mathew Chen created HemoGo. HemoGo is one of six Penn State student teams competing for $30,000 in funding on "The Investment" airing at 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 24, 2018, on WPSU.
