Cassie Fishburn, an independent student at Abington, had no safety net when she was unable to work for two months during the pandemic. She received a grant from the Penn State Abington Emergency Assistance Fund to help pay the rent and other expenses.
Abington student Christyn Robinson's work hours were cut in half when the pandemic struck, but she was able to tap into the Penn State Abington Emergency Assistance Fund for help juggling her finances.
Engineering student Dmytro Suprun was selected as a finalist to present a biomedical engineering research project "Measuring Device for Eye care and Concussion Applications," at the 2020 Johnson and Johnson engineering showcase in Feb 2020. Dmytro’s faculty mentor was Dr. Yi Yang.
