Penn State Abington student athlete Hailey Gamble recorded her 100th career hit at the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Gamble, a Schreyer Scholar, is set to graduate with degrees in criminal justice and psychological and social sciences in May.
Over spring break, Penn State Abington students accompanied by faculty and staff studied climate change, business and literature in Japan, the Caribbean and Ghana for courses with brief international study components. Another group joined students from Penn State Berks to tackle community service projects for Alternative Spring Break in Puerto Rico. Finally, the men's soccer team traveled to England for several games while exploring the culture.
Penn State Abington welcomes the community to two free events, a concert highlighting Cuban music and a workshop on preventing human trafficking, during the last week of March. The human trafficking prevention workshop on March 25 and La Luz del Son's powerhouse performance on March 26 are open to the public.
Registration for summer courses at Penn State Abington is open to students attending any Penn State campus and for those from other universities and colleges.
