Penn State Abington students attended the 15th annual Inclusive Leadership Conference at Temple University last week. The trainings, conversations, and workshops focused on authenticity, belonging, leadership, and diversity. Jose Garcia Cintora, assistant director of Residence Life, and MaryClare Rae, coordinator of Student Involvement and Leadership, accompanied the students to the Campus Philly-sponsored event. The Abington student leaders are active in Residence Life, Student Engagement and Leadership (SEAL), Global Programs, Career and Professional Development, and the Student Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (SODEI).
Prior to the public workshops, the Abington Township library children's staff spoke to elementary and early childhood education majors from Penn State Abington about how they select books that incorporate diversity for younger children.
