All courses are non-degree courses. No credits are earned, and no grades are assigned for the completion of the courses.

Enrollment

Enrollment is limited to ensure a quality learning experience for everyone involved. We encourage you to register early. Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis. Prior registration is required.

Once a class is full, interested participants can call 215-881-7339 to add their name to the waiting list. Waiting list participants will be notified on a first-come, first-served basis if a spot does become available.

Membership

New as of Spring 2019, the membership allows students to enroll in 5 courses for the flat fee of $165. All course selections must be emailed to Alina Raskopin at [email protected] at least two weeks prior to the start of the course.

The membership fee is non-refundable or transferable. In the event of a course cancellation, the member will be refunded the amount of the course.

Cancellations

Penn State Abington reserves the right to cancel or postpone any Community Connection program due to insufficient enrollment or unforeseen circumstances. If a program is cancelled by Penn State Abington, a full refund will be given.

If you need to withdraw from a course, a full refund will be given two weeks (14 days) prior to the start date of the course. No refunds will be given after that date. All refund requests must be made in writing to Alina Raskopin at [email protected].

In the event of a snow or weather cancellation, class will be rescheduled at the listed date on your registration. Cancellations will be based off of Penn State Abington and the Abington School District closures. If Penn State Abington or the Abington School District cancels classes, Community Connection classes are cancelled. If a delay is announced, Community Connection programs will be held if after the delay time (for example, in a two hour delay, a 10AM course will still run. In a four hour delay, a 10AM course will not run). Please check the main webpage for notices of cancellations or delays. An email notice will go out to all participants in the event of a cancelled or postponed class.
