Kismet brings eleven years of student support and programming experience to her role as Internship and Experiential Coordinator at Penn State Abington.

Prior to joining the Career and Professional Development team in 2021, Kismet worked in achievement programs at the University of Pennsylvania and Clarkson University where she conducted general advising, resource referral, needs assessment and sociocultural programming for FGLI and BIPOC student populations.

Kismet got her start in higher education in 2007, serving as an undergraduate admissions counselor at her alma mater, Rosemont, and later with the State University of New York at Canton. A desire to connect more deeply with students led to her transition from enrollment management to student affairs in 2013. Kismet's fondest professional memories involve witnessing students persist to graduation despite personal, financial, and academic roadblocks.
