No Place for Hate

Penn State Abington continuing to promote respect for diversity and continuing anti-bias efforts

In a ceremony on April 20, 2009, Penn State Abington celebrated their campus designation as a No Place for Hate® campus for the third year in a row, having completed another year of anti-bias and anti-bullying programs. Lisa Stewart from the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) presented the school with its official designation banner.

To earn this distinction, Penn State Abington formed a No Place for Hate® committee, adopted a resolution pledging to create a more inclusive school, and implemented a number of projects promoting respect for differences.

In 2006, Penn State Abington became the first college campus in the nation to be named a No Place for Hate® Campus. This is Penn State Abington’s second year receiving their No Place for Hate® designation.
