The Back to Work!
In response to the rise in Unemployment claims and to bring awareness to the many services available through state and local government, PACareerLink of Montgomery County recently partnered with Penn State Abington to host a Re-Employment Symposium directed to the residents of Eastern Montgomery County.
During this three-hour event, over 100 job seekers learned of programs available at Penn State and were introduced the many services available at PACareerLink in Norristown such as career guidance, skills assessment, and job placement. Two sessions of workshops such as Identifying Transferable Skills, Job Search, Stress Management, Resume Development and Interviewing Techniques were well attended during the morning symposium.
