Penn State Abington forging special relationship with German university
Penn State Abington and Hof University of Applied Sciences, in Hof Germany, have forged a nice relationship including small-scale student exchanges over the past decade or so, but this spring the schools are kicking the relationship up a notch.
University of Hof welcomed 10 Penn State Abington Information Science and Technology (IST) students, faculty and staff to Germany March 6 - 16. See a slideshow of the visit.

The Abington students participated in a joint IST project with 10 German students at HOF.

IST students (back) Edward Morgan,Matt Trypupenko, Robert Lofton, Laurence Burke, (front) Klaudia Breslavets, Aleksandr Grinshteyn, Instructor Joe Oakes and Daniel Herbert. The students will simulate a hospital situation where a health care professional needs to obtain real time patient information. Using an UMPC Ultra Mobile PC device the health care professional will scan the wristband on the patient to obtain their information.
