Penn State Abington Green Committee
Recycling…and Energy Conservation

At Penn State Abington, we strive to make our educational atmosphere as environmentally friendly as possible. Penn State Abington cares about recycling and so should you!

We ask students, faculty, staff, and visitors for your cooperation recycling paper , plastic, cans, and glass. You will notice that there are recycling bins located in every building on campus with compartments for:

  • Mixed Paper (office paper, newspaper, cardboard)
  • Plastic, cans and glass bottles
  • Trash (non-recyclable)

It is important that you do not place trash in the recycling compartments. Please take the time to use the containers correctly.

While on campus, help us conserve energy by:

  • Using elevators only when absolutely necessary
  • Refraining from using push-button door openers unnecessarily
*We encourage faculty to accept assignments electronically or on recycled paper.

We are always searching for new and improved ways to conserve and recycle…We welcome your suggestions for ways that the college can save resources and energy!
