Penn State Abington Engineering students Patrick Lai (left), and Andrew Puschak make some programming adjustments to “Shakespeare”, the robot they designed and built that earned them first place in the expert division at the International Firefighting Robot Contest at Trinity College in Hartford, CT. The expert division represents the most difficult real-world challenges to the robot and is designed to inspire true intelligent firefighting machines of the future. Lai and Puschak are freshman engineering students at Penn State Abington.
