Penn State Abington hosts panel to discuss child abuse prevention
Philadelphia City Councilwoman Blondell Reynolds Brown (right) presented Penn State Abington Chancellor Karen Sandler (left) and English Professor Suzanne Stutman a citation on Nov. 20 to recognize the college for hosting a child abuse prevention program that day titled, "The Children's Declaration of Rights: Eliminating Violence against Children." This event came on the heels of World Child Abuse Prevention Day on Nov. 19. The event--which was sponsored by the Student Government Association, A Place to Talk, and the Justice Association on campus-- included an expert panel addressing the topic of child abuse awareness and prevention.
