The Faculty Staff Campaign at Penn State Abington Initiatives

Annual Fund
Gifts received without any specific designation are used by the campus where most needed. Expenditures are predominantly used for academic program support, campus renovation and other general expenses.

Penn State Abington General Scholarship
This fund provides financial assistance to outstanding undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Abington.

The Dinah Geiger Award

The Penn State Abington Unsung Hero Award
This fund is currently not endowed. When endowed, it will be re-named the Pete Escalante Unsung Hero Award in honor of M&O employee, Pedro Escalante, who was the member of the Staff Advisory Committee who proposed and developed the idea for this award prior to his untimely death.

Paul Hutta Endowment for Innovative Teaching
Contributions in Paul Hutta's memory will be used to reach our goal of raising $25,000 to create this endowment. Once this goal is met, we will be able to provide $1,250 per year, forever, towards innovative teaching programs and pilots, which excited so much of Paul's enthusiasm in his last years with us. .

Brick Project/Victorian Clock ($125 per engraved brick)Brick with Lion
On the pathway between the Sutherland and Woodland buildings is a kiosk where five paths intersect. A four-faced Victorian Clock, a gift of two senior classes, with programmable chimes will replace the kiosk. It will be surrounded by a brick base. You may purchase an engraved, personalized brick to be included in this base. There is a maximum of two (2) lines and 13 characters (includes spaces and punctuation) per line.

Four-Year Athletics
More and more students are deciding to complete their four-year degrees at Penn State Abington and many of them wish to participate in athletics durding those four years. Additional expenses will be incurred to support a four-year athletics program and gifts designated to t his fund will be used to meet some or all of those expenses.

Center for Intercultural Leadership and Communication (CILC)
The purpose of CILC is to help our students become global leaders who value and enhance intercultural understanding in their professional and personal lives. Work or study abroad opportunities for students and faculty will be supported through this fund as well as English as a Second Language (ESL) and other outreach programs.
