In addition to faculty advising, professional advising is available to first and second year students. Professional advisers in the Abington Advising Center (AAC)/Division of Undergraduate Studies (DUS) are prepared to provide educational and vocational information, to explain opportunities and procedures, and to assist with program planning. All students, especially new students, are urged to take advantage of these services. All first year students are assigned to an AAC adviser. All second year students enrolled in an Abington College major remain with their AAC adviser until their third year. Second year students in University Park majors, and third year students in Abington majors are transitioned to faculty advisers. The AAC/DUS office is located in 224 Sutherland (Ext. 7328) and advisers are available Monday through Thursday, 8 AM through 6 PM, and Friday, 8 AM through 5 PM.
