Course Prerequisites

With the eLion registration system, many students are registering for courses for which they lack the appropriate prerequisites. Faculty are encouraged to announce prerequisite information, if any, in their classes and/or to place such information on the course syllabus.

The course instructor has the right to limit the students in the course to those who have the stated prerequisites. If the student is to be disenrolled from a course, the notification must be in writing and must occur within the first ten calendar days of the semester so the student may register for another course (Policy 34-60).
