Schreyer Honors Requirements
-
Enroll in and pass English 30 during your first year, preferable during your first semester. Students who are not native speakers of English may have this requirement modified based on test results
-
Schedule a First Year Seminar (FYS), preferably during your first semester; it does not need to be an Honors seminar
-
Maintain a 3.4 GPA each semester. We expect much higher GPAs, but set this minimum to encourage exploration of courses and majors across the curriculum, as well as participation and leadership.
-
Submit Annual Academic Plan (AAP) each year on time for advisor approval. Advisor-approved AAP is due at the end of the third week of classes. In addition priority registration for Schreyer Scholars for spring courses begins very early in fall semester.
-
Complete at least 3 honors courses at least every academic year for a minimum of nine honors credits, in each of your first two years; for the remainder of your enrollment, you must complete 14 honors credits
-
Submit a thesis proposal report (TPR) one year prior to your expected semester of graduation, and submit other required forms in a timely fashion.
