Corporate Experience
Before opening my own training and consulting business, I was employed by Richardson-Vicks U.S.A., a Procter & Gamble Company, and by McNeil Consumer Products, a Johnson & Johnson Company.  Although I held various positions at these companies, I spent a great deal of my time in corporate training.    I started my own training and consulting business in 1991.  My client list included P&G, J&J, Kraft General Foods, IBM, and Merck & Co.    Writing was an important task in all of my corporate positions.  Clear, accurate, and persuasive writing helped me to communicate with employers, and then with co-workers; present accurate and professional reports to management; explain tasks and procedures; and sell my ideas and my company's services. In the spring of 1996, my son was born.  I was a stay-at-home mom until he started elementary school.  When he started school, I returned to teaching, this time at a college undergraduate level.  It has been a pleasure to work with the faculty, staff and students at Penn State Abington.
