Motor Vehicle Violations

To avoid a motor vehicle fine:

  • Register your vehicle and display the parking permit
  • Park in handicap areas with the proper handicap permit
  • Park in the appropriate spaces designated for students or faculty/staff
  • Avoid parking in spaces not lined for parking or in a no parking zone
  • Do not park in a visitor area over the time limit
  • Do not drive or park on the grass
  • Do not drive the wrong way on a one-way road
  • Obey the officer’s directions and instructions
  • Yield to pedestrians
  • Do not use the parking permit in a fraudulent or improper way
  • Do not take motor vehicles, motorcycles, mopeds, or bicycles inside of buildings
  • Do not block loading docks, driveways, or fire zones
  • Do not exceed the 15 MPH limit, drive recklessly or too fast for conditions
  • Respect the campus curfew of 11 PM to 7 AM

Motor vehicle fines:

  • Parking in handicapped areas without proper permit, $50
  • Parking on campus without a permit, 30
  • Driving the wrong way on a one-way road; refusal to obey officer’s instructions, failure to yield to pedestrians, fraudulent or improper use of permit, $20
  • All other motor vehicle violations, $15
