| Head Start Training |
Head Start is a comprehensive child development program that serves children from birth to age five, pregnant women, and their families. The program’s overall goal is to increase the social competence of young children in low-income families. “Social competence” refers to a child’s everyday effectiveness in dealing with not only his or her present environments, but also his or her later responsibilities in school and life.
