Oracle Database 10g: Introduction to SQL

This class is applicable to Oracle8i, Oracle9i and Oracle Database 10g users. Introduction to Oracle Database 10g technology, relational database concepts, and powerful SQL programming language. The course offers learners the essential SQL skills of querying the database and the meta data, and creating database objects. In addition, it delves into advanced querying and reporting techniques, data warehousing concepts, and manipulation of large data sets in different time zones.
Oracle Database 10g: Administration Workshop I

Students are offered a conceptual understanding of the Oracle database architecture and how its components interact with one another. They also can learn how to create an operational database and properly manage the various structures in an effective and efficient manner, including performance monitoring, database security, user management, and backup/recovery techniques. The topics are reinforced with structured hands-on practice. This course is designed to help prepare participants for the corresponding Oracle Certified Associate exam.

Oracle Database 10g: Administration Workshop II

Learn how to configure an Oracle database for multilingual applications. Students will practice various methods of recovering the database using RMAN, SQL, and Flashback technology. Tools to monitor database performance and what steps to take to improve database performance are also covered. Students can also learn to use various database technologies, such as Resource Manager, the Scheduler, and Automatic Storage Management (ASM). Topics are reinforced with structured hands-on practices and a workshop. This course is designed to help prepare participants for the corresponding Oracle Certified Professional exam.
