Penn State Abington names new head women's volleyball coach
June 15, Penn State Abington announced the hiring of Kevin Larkin as the next head women’s volleyball coach. Larkin previously was the assistant coach for the Abington women’s program for the past two seasons. He was also the head coach of the men’s volleyball club.
Larkin was the head women’s coach at Penn State Harrisburg in 2005-2006. He is a graduate of Penn State University, earning both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees. He is currently involved with the Highline Volleyball Club as a head coach. Highline is a high intensity program for girls ages 13-17 in the Bucks and Montgomery County areas.
"I have seen tremendous growth in Kevin’s coaching style in the past two years,” said Director of Athletics Karen Weaver. “Kevin knows Penn State and he knows the area that we attract student athletes from. I look forward to working with him as he builds the program.”
