April 14, 2011 - The Penn State Abington baseball game against Gallaudet Univeristy in Washington, DC has been moved. The game is now being played on Friday, April 15, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Hoy Field at Gallaudet University. Due to the switch, the non-conference game against Arcadia University that was initially scheduled for Friday is now postponed. A make-up date has yet to be determined.

Both teams entered the game as the only unbeaten teams in conference play. Both teams were carrying a 6 game winning streak into game 1 of the double header. The Nittany Lions had to settle for the spilt, losing game 1, 1-3 and winning 4-1 in game 2. The Nittany Lions are now 11-16 overall and 5-1 in conference while SUNY-IT is 14-10, 5-1. Athletics2011 Baseball Preview

The Penn State Abington baseball team is ready to improve in 2011 with an experienced team that has some new talent as well. In their first season in the NEAC, 3rd year head coach Joe Pavlow led the Nittany Lions to a 15-22 overall record and a 6-8 record in the NEAC, where they received a #3 seed in the NEAC playoffs. The 2011 roster returns 3 seniors, 1 junior, and 8 sophomores.  The team welcomes 15 new freshmen to the program as they look to contribute in their rookie season.....read more.

AthleticsBeginning with the 2010 season, North Atlantic Conference (NAC) members Castleton, Husson, Lyndon St., Maine-Farmington and Thomas will play in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) as associate members in the East Division. Each division will hold a championship and the two divisional champions will meet for a three game series to determine the conference champion. The conference winner will earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship.
