Women lose to Morrisville State College
Oct. 23, 2009 – Abington, PA – The Penn State Abington women’s soccer team lost to Morrisville State College by a score of 1-3. The Nittany Lions fall to 0-12-1 overall and 0-5 in the NEAC while Morrisiville State College improves to 3-11 overall and 2-7 in the NEAC.
Morrisville State College was the first to get on the scoreboard with an unassisted goal by Gabriela Gallart five minutes into the game. Penn State Abington tied it up in the 58th minute on a goal by freshman Kaitlin Kozole (Philadelphia, PA / St. Hubert's) which was assisted by freshman Dainelle Wilson (Antioch, CA / Deer Valley). Morrisville State College then scored what was the game winning goal a minute later on a goal by Anglea Card assisted by Jessica Yates. They then scored again in the 65th minute by Alyssa Tunkel assisted by Laura Hanehan.
The Nittany Lions return to the field on Sunday, October 31st at 1:00 p.m. for a conference game against SUNY Cobleskill.
