Women soccer battle Rutgers-Camden
Oct. 10, 2009 – Abington, PA – The Penn State Abington women’s soccer team was looking for their first win of the season as they played Rutgers-Camden in New Jersey. The Nittany Lions were unable to hold off a tough Knights team as they lose 0-7.
Rutgers-Camden held Abington to 0 shots while they were able to get off 37 total shots (20 shots on goal). The Knights received goals from six different players.
In the net for the Nittany Lions was senior Jackie McCalister (Abington, PA / Abington Senior) who had 12 saves on the day.
The Nittany Lions fall to 0-9-1 on the season as the Knights improved to 5-9-1.
Penn State Abington returns to action on Monday when they host Valley Forge Christian College in a non-conference game. Game time is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
